Comparing American Amicable vs. Assurity life insurance company policies will help you find the company that best fits your needs. Both companies offer term life, whole life, and universal life insurance, as well as final expense coverage.

American Amicable provides term life insurance in 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms. Customers between the ages of 18 and 95 can obtain coverage, with the value ranging from $50,000 to $400,000.

There are two types of term life coverage offered by American Amicable. The Express Term plan is a simplified option, allowing customers to avoid a medical exam. The group plan, available for people at least 65 years old, is for government employees and first responders.

The permanent life options offered by American Amicable include whole life and universal life coverage. Whole life insurance features fixed rates while universal life has flexible rates.

There are two types of universal life insurance available. Non-medical doesn’t require an exam, and fully underwritten policies have more coverage options.

American Amicable also has final expense insurance available for customers 50 years and older. This coverage pays for final expenses, like funeral and burial costs.

Assurity has term life insurance in 10, 20, and 30-year terms, and the value ranges from $25,000 to $10 million. Some customers can qualify for accelerated underwriting, allowing them to avoid a medical exam. However, coverage is limited to $500,000 for 18 to 50-year-olds and $350,000 for 51 to 65-year-olds.

Assurity provides three types of whole life insurance. Similar to term life coverage, accelerated underwriting is available. Customers 18 to 85 years of age can obtain coverage up to $250,000 with no medical exam.

Similar to American Amicable, Assurity offers universal life coverage but with fewer options. This type of coverage is available for customers up to 85 years old.

Assurity’s final expense insurance is called burial coverage. Despite the name difference, the coverage is the same as final expense insurance, allowing customers to pay for their final expenses in advance.
